Nationwide, opioid-related deaths are on the rise. In 2020 alone, there was a 79% increase in opioid-related deaths between the months of February and December. 30% of opioid-related deaths among those employed during the pandemic occurred amongst individuals working in the construction industry. Naloxone, also known as Narcan, is a life-saving drug that can be used to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose. Join local pharmacist and owner of Cornwall's Respect RX Pharmacy, Kent Guindon, for a free and informative training session on how to administer Narcan. Participants will receive Narcan kits to take home with them after the training.
