Bring your class for a visit at the Library!
We are happy to offer a library tour, storytimes, activities, Lego, and maybe even show a movie for early childhood educators, teachers and community organizations offering programs and services to children 0 to 13. To book your library visit, please give us a call or fill out our online form.

To have a librarian visit your classroom or children’s centre, please give us a call and let us know what you are looking for. Silly storytimes are our specialty!
Procedures for Class Visits
If you are exchanging books, or are just looking to use the library’s space, just let us know that you are coming. If you are looking for an activity, we usually need about two weeks’ notice to prepare. Classes are more than welcome to bring their own lunch or snack.
The community loves to use the library, so if your visit requires booking of a private library room, we may need more than two weeks’ notice. If you have booked a library visit, but need to cancel, just let us know so that we can accommodate another class.
Registration for Library Cards
All children attending school in Cornwall are able to get a Cornwall Public Library Card for free, which is great for classes looking to use the library for research. You can print out our Library Card Registration Form, have the parents fill out the form and the school can fax or return the completed forms to the library. We will need about 5 days to process all of the library cards.
Book Bundle Service
We have a book bundle service to support your effort to improve access to books and to improve literacy skills in children. Early childhood educators, teachers, and community organizations can borrow up to 20 books or items at a time for the centre or the classroom. In addition, institutions can create their own memberships, please fill out our Business or Institutional membership form to register your organization. If you are looking for books on a particular theme, call in advance to let us know what you are looking for and when you would like to pick them up for your class. Just be sure that the person picking them up is listed on the form!
