Description
Join local author Tom Cooper for a virtual storytime as he reads selected stories from his three published volumes:
- The Day that Loyalty Backfired …and other (Comic?) stories
- The Snow Blower-man Cometh …at least I hope he is!
- Who the Heck Picks the Peck?
Share with him as he retells childhood and schoolboy stories as well as his light-hearted tales set in the fictitious rural hamlet of Clarence Mills.
Sit back and be prepared to share Tom’s take on why being a healthy, happy senior means sometimes just being able to laugh at ourselves.
“If anyone had told me that living the life of a senior citizen would be so full of laughter and hilarity, I would have questioned their sanity. And yet, my life is, and always has been, episode after episode of comic misadventures from my schooldays up until today.”
About the Author
Tom grew up in Montreal, QC, and graduated from McGill University in 1971. After working for several years as a commercial pilot, he went on to write The Private Pilot's Ground School Workbook, which sold copies from coast to coast to coast.
Now retired, Tom returns to writing, this time with two compilations of short stories (The Day that Loyalty Backfired …and other (comic?) senior moments & The Snow Blower-man Cometh …at least I hope he is! ) offering his readers glimpses into the comedically frenetic side of everyday senior life from his light-hearted, at times irreverent perspective.
Tom, his wife Jane, and their golden retriever, Teddy, currently enjoy a variety of retirement adventures while living the quiet life in Cornwall, ON. He can be contacted via email at thomaswilliamcooper@gmail.com
