Join us for a Diversity and Inclusion virtual talk at the Cornwall Public library!

Curea

This discussion will cover important topics such as:

1.       Important terminology: we welcome participants to take notes.

2.       Impact of systemic racism

3.       Allyship

The talk will be given by Stacey Ottley, the Co-Founder and president of the Coalition for Unity, Respect, Equity/Equality for All (CUREA). She has always been passionate about diversity and inclusion and has been active in the social justice scene since 2015. Stacey obtained her bachelor’s degree in Sociology at Concordia University in Montréal, and her master’s degree in Sociology at the University of Windsor.

CUREA is a racial justice and educational organization. Their goal is to advance public education, awareness and prevention of racial injustice and systemic racism. They wish to provide a forum for the discussion of issues pertaining to equity, diversity and inclusion for all.

The program will be held over Zoom, which you can download for free here. Zoom is a virtual platform that allows groups of people to meet online. It can be used on any device.
