Living Life to the Full 55+

(This course is for people of all 55 years of age plus. You must register to save your spot)

Want to know how to feel happier, more confident and worry less right now? Would you like to learn new ways of dealing with what life throws at you? Living Life to the Full is a fun and interactive course that will help you understand your feelings, thoughts and behaviours, and what to do about them!

Congratulations, you’re about to change your life!

Too much to do? Someone close to you is ill? Can’t sleep? Feeling lonely? The way you feel is affected by things that happen to you, and you feel bad because you’re in a vicious cycle. Learn how to stop the cycle!

Living Life to the Full is a mental health promotion course designed to help people deal with everyday life challenges and learn self-management skills using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) principles. Course content and materials are practical and easily applied to everyday life situations.

Living Life to the Full helps people make a difference to their lives in eight enjoyable 90-minute sessions – one per week.

Everyone! The course is for anyone dealing with stress, anxiety or just needing help in dealing with life’s challenges.

 

Trainer Tom Hickey

Bio

Tom Hickey

 Tom Hickey is a Living Life to the Full volunteer facilitator with the Canadian Mental Health Association since 2021.   His role is to present and facilitate wellness & mental health education designed to improve attitudes towards     mental health, mental illness and promote well-being.

 His passion for educating the community about mental health/illness comes from personal insight with lived   experience with mental illness throughout his life. He is passionate about sharing his knowledge and skills learned through the program as a participant in 2020 and later becoming a facilitator in 2021. The workshops and training sessions offered are well researched and delivered in a down-to-earth, memorable style. Tom is also certified in Mental Health First Aid,  safeTALK and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training.
